BioShock: The Collection announced by 2K Games
After a couple of leaks and rumors in recent months and the poster leak yesterday, the 2K Games have finally decided to confirm the existence of BioShock: The Collection today.
BioShock: The Collection announced by 2K Games
BioShock: The Collection includes the remastered versions of all three previous games in the franchise, i.e, BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock: Infinite. The studio also confirmed that the collection will be free for those PC gamers who own the game while the three games will be running at full HD 1080p and 60 frames per second on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
“If you already own BioShock, BioShock 2, and or Minerva’s Den on Steam, you will be able to upgrade to the remastered version of the respective title(s) for free after release.” said 2K Games in an announcement post.
According to 2K Games, the first two installments of the franchise will be remastered, while the last one, BioShock: Infinite will not be remastered on the PC as the studio thinks that the game already meets the standard of current generation consoles and runs smoothly on the high visual settings. And also, the new collection will not include BioShock 2 multiplayer.
BioShock: The Collection will be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 13 in North America, September 15 on Australia, and worldwide on September 16 for $59.99.
